Safety & Warnings
Wintergreen is an oil to be used with caution and experienced in small amounts and for short periods of time on a small area of the body. According toEssential Oil Safety by Tisserand and Young (second edition), it is contraindicated if taking anticoagulant medication, having major surgery, and all other bleeding disorders. Should not be used if pregnant, breastfeeding and not to be used with children due to possible risk of developing Reye's syndrome. Do not use if there is a salicylate sensitivity or ADD/ADHD. Not to be used orally if a history of Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Numerous cases of salicylate poisoning have been reported. Maximum dermal use level: 2.4% - Only use on intact skin. (unbroken skin). Always store with a safety cap.

So far, so good. Thank you for the oil. There was an issue in that child proof lids do not have droppers in them, and Aromatics International kindly provided a pipette. One suggestion might be to send a non-childproof cap with the dropper insert, so that families without children can replace the cap on their own. The best would be to get dropper inserts for even the childproof caps to avoid somebody unexpectedly spilling the contents.

I love the smell of wintergreen, and I have to have it on me when my period hits because wintergreen helps my period cramp pains go down a lot. I just rubbed some on my wrists and arms/hands and you can put some on the bottom of your feet too but even just putting it on my wrists/arms helped cramps go down a lot. It's strong but thankfully my friend didn't mind the smell. She said it smelled like bubble gum.
