Great question! Rock rose is not part of the Rose family as it is a completely separate plant/oil. Rock rose is also known as Cistus (Cistus ladanifer). The Rose oils you are looking for can be found at the links below. One is steam distilled, the other is solvent extracted. Both have the botanical name Rosa x damascena.
