2. Pain & Inflammation Relief
We love using peppermint essential oil to help relieve sore muscles, reduce muscle tension, and provide headache and migraine relief. Whether you've been out shopping, skiing, trekking up a mountain, or just sitting too long at your desk, peppermint is an excellent oil to help resolve many kinds of pain and inflammation. Peppermint essential oil cools and relieves. If you want more of an icy/hot effect, you can easily combine peppermint essential oil with warming oils such as black pepper or clove bud for a cooling and warming synergy.

5. Boosting the Immune System
When you're stressed and tired, this often puts additional stress on our immune systems and leaves us at risk for colds, flu, and other infections. Especially during cold and flu season, it is a wonderful idea to use peppermint essential oil to help boost the immune system and keep our systems running smooth. Any recipe with peppermint essential oil included is going to help boost and stabilize a compromised immune system. Try using this natural hand gel several times throughout the day to help with immune support as well as to keep those unwanted germs away.

General Safety Tips
Peppermint essential oil is a stronger essential oil due to its chemical composition. We recommend using a maximum of 1-2% dilution when using topically. Additionally, we recommend avoiding use with children under the age of 5 (although peppermint hydrosol can be a wonderful alternative for kids or those who are more sensitive to this oil). We also recommend using this essential oil within its recommended 5-year shelf-life for the maximum therapeutic benefit.
