I recently had a two day flu that moved into a cold that I am pretty sure morphed into RSV but thankfully didn't drop deep into my lungs. The cough lingered, and was unproductive regardless of anything and everything that I tried with essential oils. I finally stumbled upon a recipe in Felicia Cocotzin Ruiz's beautiful Earth Medicine book and used every bit of my on-hand avocado oil to make something called Tree Medicine Breathing Bars. Until making these breathing bars, I hadn't really paid close attention to the sumptuous nature of the avocado oil sold by Aromatics International. The texture and high quality of the oil helped to make the bars both emollient and a lovely shade of green. That, and the combination of healing conifer oils made using the bars a joy. And the more I used them, the more I healed and it was only a matter of a few days before I began to feel sooo much better. I know that it was the healing qualities of the conifer oils that came to my rescue but avocado as the carrier brought the oils to me in such a deeply profound way that I could almost feel the love and most certainly the joy that went into the production of this luscious, soothing oil, truly a gift from the avocado gods and Aromatics International of course!
